Our Chapter Chartered October 5, 1973, the mission of the Decatur Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is to continue to expand the Sorority’s commitment of providing public service to local communities, addressing national issues, and supplying assistance towards international crises. With fifty years of service to the citizens of DeKalb County, Decatur Alumnae thrives on administering public service projects and programs that promote human welfare and invest in our youth. Over 500 Deltas call Decatur Alumnae ‘home’ and all dedicate themselves in support of the Chapter’s commitment to service through efforts that strengthen the community and its members. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated provide programs that target Goal Setting, Financial Planning, Budgeting, Debt Management, Savings & Investments, Retirement Planning, Homeownership, Insurance, Estate Planning, and Entrepreneurship to members and individuals in effort to spread financial education throughout the local communities. It is with esteemed honor that I serve as President of the Decatur Alumnae Chapter, as we celebrate our golden year and chapter’s chartering on October 5, 1973. The more than 500 active members who call the Decatur Alumnae Chapter home are excited to celebrate fifty years of sisterhood, scholarship and service.
